Welcome to the Neurological Data Platform
Dementias Hub

The NDP Dementias Hub builds on the infrastructure, expertise, data partnerships and services developed through the DPUK Data Portal, and now forms part of the wider Neurological Data Platform (NDP)

Bringing together records from over 3 million participants, the Hub enables researchers to discover relevant datasets, apply for access and analyse approved data securely within a remote Trusted Research Environment (TRE).

As part of this transition, new data access requests are now provided on a cost-recovery basis, with applicants receiving a quotation before progressing to Data Owner approval.

Once approved, researchers can access their datasets securely within our remote Trusted Research Environment (TRE), with a wide range of analytical tools available to support analysis.
Discover the data. Assess feasibility. Apply for access. Analyse securely.

DISCOVER

Use our data discovery tools to decipher which datasets and variables would be best utilised to support the feasibility of your project

Search the Cohort Directory to get more detailed information on the dataset that interests you and compare the datasets side-by-side.

ACCESS

Apply for access to data from different datsets and modalities in a single application.

On submitting an application we aim to provide you with a quotation for access within 5 working days.

ANALYSE

Secure, rapid access to a wealth of data

Built to an international information security standard, the NDP Dementias Hub ensures that every participant’s anonymised data is stored securely whilst also enabling bona fide researchers to access the information they need to advance our understanding of diseases like Alzheimer’s or Lewy Body Dementia.

By bringing together over 50 of the UK’s existing population studies, NDP Dementias Hub is creating the world’s largest study group for use in dementias research. Whole-body data on such large numbers of people brings enormous statistical power to studies about what happens to our bodies as we age, and the NDP Dementias Hub gives researchers rapid access to this rich data.
